Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026 · Launch Len Web Solutions Inc.

This policy explains what personal information Launch Len Media collects on this website, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Details you send us, plus basic technical data about how the site is used.

Why

To publish the site, reply to you, measure readership, and block abuse.

Your choices

Cookie preferences, unsubscribe links, and a request to access or delete your data.

Who we are

Launch Len Media publishes news and analysis at launchlenmedia.com. The site is operated by Launch Len Web Solutions Inc.

If you have a privacy question, use the contact page. That is the address we monitor for access, correction, and deletion requests.

Information we collect

You give us information when you:

  • write to us through a contact form, including your name, email address, and message
  • create an account, sign in, or submit a post, including your account details and the material you send
  • subscribe to updates, in which case we send your email address to Mailchimp

We also collect some information automatically:

  • server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, so we can keep the site secure and reliable
  • readership statistics through Google Analytics, only if you allow statistics cookies
  • the cookie choices you save in the cookie banner

If a page shows a comment form, we store the comment, the name and email address you enter, your IP address, and your browser information to detect spam. The name you submit is shown in public with the comment. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar so a profile photo can appear.

If you upload an image, remove location data (EXIF GPS) first. Anyone who downloads that image can read location data left inside the file.

How we use information

  • operate the site and publish material you submit
  • reply to questions, complaints, and submissions
  • send the email updates you asked for
  • understand which stories are read, using aggregated analytics
  • prevent spam, fraud, and attacks, including with Google reCAPTCHA
  • remember your cookie choices and, if you log in, keep you signed in

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them for essential functions such as security, login, and saving your cookie choices. If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits. Google reCAPTCHA may set a cookie when it checks a form for spam.

The banner on the site lets you accept cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or set preferences. You can change that choice later. Each cookie, what it does, and how long it lasts is listed on the cookie policy.

Embedded content

Stories may include video, audio, social posts, or other material hosted on another website. That embedded material behaves as if you had visited the other site. Those sites can collect information and set their own cookies, including when you are logged in there. Their policies govern that collection, not this one.

Who we share information with

We share personal information with service providers that help us run the site:

  • Google, for analytics and for spam checks through reCAPTCHA
  • Mailchimp, when you subscribe to updates
  • Gravatar, if a comment form requests a profile photo
  • our hosting and security providers, which process server logs to keep the site online

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect the site, our readers, or our staff.

If you request a password reset, WordPress includes your IP address in the reset email.

How long we keep information

  • messages and submissions are kept as long as we need them to respond, keep a record, and meet legal duties
  • account information is kept until you ask us to delete the account, or until we close it
  • comments, when a comment form is available, are kept until you ask us to remove them, unless we must retain a copy for security or legal reasons
  • analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings
  • cookies last for the periods listed in the cookie policy

Your choices

You can reject non-essential cookies in the banner and change that choice later. You can also control cookies in your browser. Mailchimp emails include an unsubscribe link.

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page and describe the request. We will not delete information we are required to keep for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

Children

This site is written for a general news audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. The version you see here is the current one.

Cookie details

The cookie policy lists every cookie category in use on this site, including essential cookies, statistics, login, comments, and Google reCAPTCHA.
